Folks, it’s Kacee. Election Day, and we kept our eyes on home today. Here’s the one story on the site.
Kentuckians headed to the polls with 438,602 ballots already banked. Polls opened across Kentucky at 6 a.m. local time and close at 6 p.m. local time, and anyone standing in line at closing is still allowed to vote. State figures show 438,602 Kentuckians voted before Election Day, roughly 100,000 more than the last midterm, with registered Democrats casting 180,541 of the no-excuse early ballots and Republicans 170,304. Secretary of State Michael Adams said the independent turnout surprised him most, with about 16% of voters outside the two major parties already voting, and with the open McConnell Senate seat and the 6th District on the ballot, those voters could swing a close race.
That’s the day. If you haven’t voted and you’re still in line, stay in line. For the deeper conversation, catch The Kacee Allen Show on YouTube, and if somebody forwarded you this, sign up for the free Daily Recap so it lands in your inbox every night at 8. See you tomorrow.
